WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE

1. The Association's overall goal is to educate those who wish to learn about their Texas heritage in general and most specifically, our own Franklin County. We provide information on those who have lived and died here through photo essays and preservation of items used during that period of time. A special emphasis is placed on displays geared for children.

2. The Association is collecting, preserving, and making available to the public artifacts and primitives. Plans are to contain items pertaining to Franklin County and surrounding areas such as data on the infamous Bonnie and Clyde, who frequented this area.

3. Several events are held annually: the Chili-cook-off & Bluegrass Festival held in April; the Turtle Derby held in August; the Halloween Hayride in October; and the Trades Day in November.

We are a Non-profit organization that is run on donated dollars.
